Just a few things I am working on for the Holidays
I made a few things during the long weekend. I played with a little bit of clay and lots of wool. I finally have enough sheep for my flock and willing to start parting with a few. Mama and little Laramie Lamb and Little Christmas Holly girl are for sale in my Etsy Store. Usually the ratio of keeping and selling has been 1 for me and 1 to sale but I got hooked on the sheep and I have a dozen... the hoarder in me sometimes wins! If you seen my past blogs you probably know my passion for vintage pinecone elves and Santas. I have recently acquired quite a collection but the vintage ones are kind of small so I thought why not make some but make them bigger and more in scale with my larger bottle brush trees. Then while I was making the clay heads I though why not make an Santa on a wire armature with a clay head. So that is how the Santas came about and Really the way I see it you can't have too much of a good thing! Christmas Holly was inspired from a picture of me and my sister when we were small. We had faux fur hats and too much hair and freckles like the last picture. I remember being uncomfortable and my head sweating in that hat and really didn't like what I had on... I mean how were you going to run around and play in that outfit! I tried to capture that uncomfortable feeling in mine but Holly #2 seems to be a little less wild and looks like she enjoys her little Christmas outfit.
Hope everyone has a Great Week!! Jodi
